Hello! We have a problem in Catalan language Wikibooks. The sysop Vedranell ([[:ca:b:User:Vedranell]]) created a new account called Álvaro_M ([[:ca:b:User:Álvaro_M]]) when Special:Renameuser still did not exist because of the conflicts that he had with other usernames in some Wikimedia projects. Since then he has only used the second account, and when he had to do some administrator job he had to log out and enter with his old name. He says that there is no problem in this but I have finally convinced him to talk to you in order to know if there is any way to help him. I know that it is impossible to merge the two accounts but you could probably remove the sysop access to his old account and give it to his new one so that he can leave his old accunt and not use it any more. He can do dummy edits with his two accounts if you need to verify that they belong to the same person. Thank you.
